Children’s Sunday School
9:00 am Sunday
Classes for children ages three through high school are held at 9:00 a.m. on Sundays. We have 3 classes: 3yr-2nd grade; 3rd-5th grade and 6th - 12th grade. The two younger classes are using a new curriculm from Cokesbury - Live B.I.G. (live Your Belief In God!) We use music, crafts, and stories to help children make the connection between what they learn on Sunday and the rest of their week. The Middle School/High School class is using the TV series "Joan of Arcadia" as the basis for their weekly discussions.

Children’s Chapel
We offer Children’s Chapel during the 10:15 AM family service for children ages 3 to grade 3 during the school year. Children start in church with their families. Understandably, this can increase the joyful noise in church for the brief time this young group is with us. But scripture tells us Jesus loved the little children to come to him, and it doesn’t say they were always perfectly quiet.
After the Gospel and just prior to the sermon, children gather at the front of the church to receive a blessing before they leave for the Long Memorial Chapel for Children's Chapel. Children return to the service or to a Children's Play Class at the Peace.
For Chapel we use the Godly Play curriculum, a sensory motor type of story telling which helps children not only learn about God but also experience him. Chapel is a special place where children come to be with God, talk to God, listen to God and hear the stories of God. Our goal is to help children move forward on their spiritual journeys in an atmosphere of awe, reverence and love.
