Revised Common Lectionary: Emmanuel is using the Revised Common Lectionary. This lectionary is authorized for use in the Episcopal Church in addition to the other main-line Christian denominations. More information and a Liturgical Calendar for the upcoming weeks can be found here.

We use the Book of Common Prayer for most of our services, with the Episcopal and Lift Every Voice and Sing Hymnals for music. Our 10:15 am family service uses a variety of liturgies, all accompanied musically.
We participate in a joint Thanksgiving Day Eucharist with the other three Episcopal parishes in Hampton as well as an Ecumenical Good Friday service with two of our neighborhood churches.
Emmanuel Church is a diverse parish whose Eucharistic worship services strive to balance traditional services with contemporary expression of faith. We try to embrace both approaches to the same search for communion with Christ. The fact that there exists such a balance is one of our great strengths.
